Looking for Thomas Arne

I don't know, nor can find, where Mudcatters have mentioned Arne. I'm trying to identify this well known piece - well known to students and teachers in the 50-60s, as an interval piece during schools programmes on ITV

Some reckon it is called Finale to'A Dance Suite'. What I'd like to know is which orchestra recorded this, which I understood was written for harpsichord students. also, if there have been more recent recordings, as the quality of this isn't very good.

You may be having difficulty finding Thomas Arne at the Mudcat Café, eftifino, as Mudcat is primarily a folk and blues website and Thomas Arne is some considerable distance from these genres.

You may be lucky in finding someone here who recognises your piece, but I think there must be more suitable places where you're likely to find more relevant information.

I have found several references to the above piece via Google, such as this:
The Light Programme: Music in a Classical Vein
but several others are requesting information- are these also you?

I relayed this question to the ABRSM forum. Will let people here know if an answer emerges.

Arne was pretty influential across genres - nearly every "village fiddler" manuscript from 1750 to 1850 has some of his tunes.

I really like the improvisational prelude.

The glib answer is you'll find him in St Paul's Church, Covent Garden....

(And if "Rule Brittania" is not a folk tune, I'll go he....!)
