Seem to be home-grown. Need to be caught and given long terms at hard labor.

May I pedantically request that the title of this thread be emended to "Timeo Danaos...", which is what Virgil actually wrote, please?

Ah yes, Virgil. I remember him well.
He was the nicest of the Earp brothers.

So Roger if a Horse shaped parcel arrives in the post with Greek stamps on it I should not accept it?

Yeah, the Earp Brothers...out here in The West we called 'em "The Fightin' Pimps."

Not to their face, though.

Wonder what Helena Troi (younger sister of Star Trek's Counselor Deanna Troi) would think of all these facetious postings?

So back to a serious, if pedantic, one. It still says 'Donaos' when it ought to be 'Danaos', as written in the Æneid by Publius Vergilius Mario {no relation to any of the Earps}; so may it be corrected please?

Thank you.

------Done. I'd have used a strikethrough except... JoeClone-----

Oops ~ MARO, not 'Mario'. Blush blush, where is my pedantic cred to end up if I go making booboos like that!

Apologies for the typo. I only passed O level Latin at the second attempt 50 years ago.

That's funny, Roger ~~ so did I, only in my case 62 years ago! But for some reason that tag stays with me...

I had it Framed on my desk as a guide to dealing with Academic Staff along with the Biblical quote, " Put not your faith in Princes" None of them ever asked its significance!!!
