My boss gave Elmos to our union president and me when we were in the middle of some very contentious (on her part, at least) negotiations. I thought it was a kick and she thought (as best as I can remember) that it was "a typical insult perpetrated by management upon the labor-relations process." So what could I do? I kept Elmo on the bookshelf behind my desk until I retired four years later, and left him behind for my successor!

I remember Gonks... they were more 1970's over here in the UK. I had a splendid egg yolk yellow one with a Royal Stuart tartan nose and matching bottom.
