At the Comfort Hotel, on holywell hill in st Albans

Already 20 seats have been reserved.

this gig climaxes 5 years of the club during which we have been graced by most of the top names on the scene.

See our lists on www.folk4alk.net

Lower key guests in january with dan Mackinnon in the summer.

The club that launched El Greko and rekindled Chris Flegg, produced Hilary Ward and discovered Moses and the ref

Ooops sorry

I was in shock

I thought I saw the words "Breezy" and "Low Key" in the same sentence.

They were just close together.

Bill

Ooops fingers slipped. But to return to my point, this club can't be closing through lack of interest if there are already 23 seats booked for an event which is still some weeks off, so why would a popular(or so it seems) club be shutting up shop. Perhaps Mr Breeze is running out of puff ! Ha joke, bad one!

Welcome back Bill, where you been, I missed my coffee.

Hi Amcf, more 'wayward' than 'wandering'

And anyway nothing lasts forever

After reaching such dizzy heights with the names we've had and setting up the spotlight development programme I think its time to bow out at the top !!!

we even missed the quiz last night what with singing and all that.

First team of residents will be reporting for both gigs.

Chris Flegg will be at redbourn for Robb Johnson on thurs and Chris's song 'A Child of Africa' is now on his website where he welcomes listeners and anyone who would like to perform it.
Its a bit good.

Well, he was in fine form at Llantrisant last night, pulling in songs from throughout his career, from his very first song from 1960, right up to date with a poem about a gentlemen's club in Nairobi.

It was titled (surprisingly) "The Wedding"
I've just listened to it again on track 2 of his CD "Shearing the Poms"

And Yes, it was a great evening.

Another night at the Windward.

Chris Flegg is riding high and he will be at Redders this Thursday to promote his CD and its very good value, Anthony John Clarke performs one of his songs and has included it on his next CD already recorded.

Chris will probably feature his 'Child of Africa' song tomorrow. this has already been well received as being a quality song.

Standing room only for jeremy now

doors open 7.12

A lovely way to end the season. Nice big friendly audience, good singing by all and great self-penned songs from both our guest and our singer-songwriter residents.

Herga tonight has Steve Last (The Ref) as guest for a feature spot. Venue is Arts Centre, Hatch End. Starts promptly at 8pm. Smuggle your own beer in. Park in Morrisons if the car park is full.
