you may want to inform your postal delivery person
that you are known as fire cat as that is the name
written on the package winging its way to you.

i hope it makes it o.k.

My Santa has been super-kind
And sent a clutch of presents fine!
And pictures, too, and humourous cards
Which by the tree now waiting are,
All still unopened 'til the day!
Oh, thanks, for sending them this way!!
I'll write again, with awe, and bliss
Around December 25th!

Hi, RW's SS

I have been your Secrette Elf this year, watching and listening while you danced a merry and not so merry dance, following my steps and dancing on a little further. How pleased I am to have met you, to have danced the pas de deux, and to have watched you now, picking up your steps and dancing on, such a fine and merry dance, with some old 60s dancers. You are truly a magic Santa - dance on, SS!

your Secrette Elfette

Down at the post office at the break of the day
I saw a flash packet, bound westward away
She was bound for the west where the wild waters flow
She's Sorcha's Secret Packet, oh Lord, let her go....

Bound away, bound away, through the ice, sleet and snow.
She's Sorcha's Secret Packet, oh Lord, let her go.

Rudolf and the guys are back from a long haul to far off lands of turmoil, having delivered the main part of your giftette to those in need of it. So, a short rest, and they are off again, as far the other way, to deliver some small solace to you. I do hope they reach you in time, but you never can tell with all the smoke around these here parts...

From: GUEST,Jaze's Silent Secret Santa's photo archive

Pictured above: Santa is watching... the birdie? So it would seem, as evidenced by this picture. It seems that our dear Old Saint Nick relieved his luckless assistant of his camera, and took a "shot" at making his own visual record of Jaze's gift. Unfortunately, Santa was not wearing his spectacles at the time, and was forced to hold the camera at very close range in order to determine the location of various buttons on the camera and read their labels. As you may have guessed, Santa was staring into the camera's telephoto lens when his finger found the shutter button! The iris of his baby-blue eye -- the one that sees you when you're sleeping (the other one sees you when you're awake) -- was immortalized on film. The camera was subsequently returned to Santa's assistant, who resumes his duties as official North Pole Workshop photographer. The photographer, quite wisely, has not released a statement concerning the incident.

There is only one "r" in Albuquerque, unlike the number in my name. But be patient. Your pressie should be there soon and please feel free to open the outer box. The contents may be opened when your impatience gets the best of you (like about 15 seconds later). Of course, the box doesn't contain any hints you don't already have.....

Hey there, Santa! I've been keeping an eye on the mailbox (which is rather painful, especially in cold weather) but I haven't seen any packages yet. Is your Delivery Elf is still goggle-less? Perhaps they're on back-order? O Goggle, Where Art Thou? O Other Goggle, Where Art Thou?

Many thanks for the message, my own Santa.
Smoke, eh? As in, "where there's smoke there's fire?"
or as in "cigareets, whiskey and wild, wild wimmen?"
or as in "on top of old smokey?"
Or maybe I should be watching the news more often to see where it's smokin' these daze.

I'll be out of town from Wednesday until January 11, so if you don't hear immediate noises of great gratitude, it will be because I haven't received your present until I'm back in the proximity of my mailbox again.

Happy holidays, O Santa Mio.

Elmer

We had a little delay as the Post Office had a problem with a package going over the pond with a return address that started with "S. Claus"! But it's on it's way! I'm hopeful that you'll see it by the 25th....Have a great Christmas!!!!

Your pressie is no longer here
I sent it off the other day
And now it's speeding on its way
By plane, by train, by car - maybe
Or bobbing on a boat at sea
Or soaring high with sleigh bells jingling ♫♫
Where all around the stars are twinkling
I hope it reaches you in style
Though travelling many weary mile

Outer box may be opened on receipt, further instructions within.

Ho ho ho, your next prezzie package has just been sent on its way. Phew! Good job I checked the parcel first - you should have seen what my naughtiest elf had packed inside there as a prezzie for your moose head. Naughty, bad, wicked!

Unfortunately one of my elves has been poorly and is still working on one of your prezzies so there will be another prezzie parcel in the new year as well. Keep smiling, there's only another 10 days to go.

No joke on this one. I was driving to the post office yesterday with your package when I was in a fender bender, as we call them here in the USA. I was not hurt, nor were the idiots who broadsided me. Your package is fine as well, but my vehicle is not. I've been depending on the kindness of my workmates for rides as there wasn't a rental car to be had for twenty miles around. I should be able to get one tomorrow, and then I'll be able to post your box.
I'm horribly sorry for the delay. Please forgive me (crouching down with my ears wilted like a repentant kitten). I'm a good Santa, but a sorry excuse for a correspondant.

Santa has been putting out fires at the North Pole (trying to keep the cap from melting!) and is finally on top of the job. Elves were dispatched with your parcel, but alas, all of the reindeer were spoken for and Gluon is over playing in the Mudcat tavern (her delivery skills are untested--the parcel might be incinerated on Mars as soon as arrive on your doorstep).

The best I could do to assure that the third-string elves get it to you was to put in a directional spatula® rudder. They have orders to NOT STOP AT ANY BARS ON THE WAY, but to keep their hands on the rudder, their eyes averted, and just head to that big island to the right of Yerp (when they're traveling south).

If they get a good headwind, they'll be there by Friday or earlier.

Hi MGAS,

My abject apologies. I planned to make you a present to go with the others and I have had the makings for a couple of weeks but I fell over and hurt my right wrist and forearm (I'm right-handed) and haven't been able to make it. I am hoping to make it today. I think I will be able to do it.

I should have bitten the bullet and sent the first lot of presents and then sent this one when it was finished, but I kept thinking that my wrist/arm would get better and in fact it seems to have gotten worse this week. The Doctor just phoned and said he suspects it may have a small fracture and I have to go for a scan this week.

So, everything WAS under control, but then went totally pear-shaped. I hope to post your parcel early this week but don't panic if it doesn't arrive by Christmas, please.

And I am truly sorry. I hope the wait will be worthwhile and that you like your pink fluffy Fijian dougals when they arrive. :-)

Your abjectly apologetic Secret Santa.
