Stewarding at Warwick Folk Festival and being rather obvious in the main street in a fluorescent jacket got me plenty of stupid non-folk festival questions like 'Where is the Registry Office?, and 'Is there a Marks and Spencers?'

Don't these people know that us folk festival stewards are only qualified to answer relevant questions like 'How many roads must a man walk down?' and 'How can there be a cherry without a stone?'?

If they can make the Black Box out of stuff that means it will survive the crash, why can't they make the whole plane out of it?

One the plane they tell me that in the case of a water landing (as if a place could LAND in water) my seat cushion turns into a floatation device.

My questions is: If they can do that, why can't the turn the plane into a BOAT!?

I took my car into the shop. The mechanic told me I had blown a seal. I told him to leave my private life out of it and fix the damn car.

If you have 23 odds and ends on a table and 22 of them fall of - what's left: an odd or an end?

My bottle of cough syrup says, "Do not use if seal is broken." So how am I supposed to get the cough syrup out without breaking the seal?

Videos usually say, "This video has been altered to fit your TV set." How do they know how big my TV set is?

Why is it, when someone posts a list of "Rules and Regulations," they never tell you which ones are the rules and which ones are the regulations?

Well.

To say that the Mother of all BS Threads has taken on a life of its own is now officially redundant.

The next question is, can one thread usurp another?

Bee-dubya-ell, you sorry sack of shit! This is your Mother! That's right, The Mother of All BS Threads. What's the big idea of starting this useless piece of crap thread when there's plenty of room at my place for stupid questions? I thought you were one of my faithful children and look at what you've done! Created this upstart thread for absolutely no reason. Haven't I always been good to you! Is this how all my hard work is repaid? I always thought you would come to a bad end and now it's pretty obvious I was right. Get a life before it's too late!

How did Burt Lancaster get away with playing Elmer Gantry in every movie he ever made?

Why didn't Roy Orbison rewrite the line "love is like a stove"?

How could "Dirty Deeds" possibly be considered as being folk music?

What about "Highway To Hell"?
Would that be a polka or more of a waltz?

Is there a way to get the protective seal off a new jar of honey before your toast goes cold?

Are the stars really tiny pinpricks in the otherwise perfect (and otherwise black) fabric of eternity?

Were there only supposed to be three questions?

Why only three?

You'll here other explanations but it stands for B.S. - Bull Shit

We don't treat all stuff in the BS section as "BS," but is started when peole begai ndiscussing things off-topic (music).

As for LOL, you shoudl find that on the Internet. That's what lazy people write when they want people to know a joke made them laugh out loud.

ROTFHMNAIWIPFTOSFS

You know, if we create a filter for GUESTS posting in the "BS" sections, where, instead of it being "GUEST whomever" It was automatically "I'm a GUEST so it is best ot ignore my post Whomever," It might cut down on GUEST postings.

Also - I keep hearing people complain that long threads are a pain to read because it takes too long to load them. Is there that many people who dont know about the "part 1,2,3,4," and the "descending" options, or are they just trying to be funny in a non-humerous way?

Requiring minds want to know.

John 'Giok' MacKenzie, dogs are kept in a kennel because they "understand", while cats are just too busy being catty to develop any depth of "knowledge" whatsoever.

Bagpuss, I'm not giving apples away, I just have an integer that represents 1 place (1 can represent something can't it?) Now if I don't do anything with that place or thing, or even if I try to multiply that "place or thing" with nothing, why can't I still have that place or thing, after I have done nothing with it? I want to have my cake and eat it too!

Rap, these questions are not being asked on the MOAB because that thread is a repository for nonspecific BS. TOMSQT posts must be either questions or answers to questions. A MOAB post may be a question or an answer, but it may also be a recipe for oatmeal. Recipes for oatmeal are not allowed here unless one is able to phrase said recipe as a question. But why would anyone want to post a recipe for oatmeal anyway? Oatmeal sucks.

As to what makes this thread "official", I was sitting in my "office" when the idea came to me. It was a very "moving" experience.
