Looking for the lyrics (or maybe also chords etc.) for the Lullabye, written by Don Seels and Charlie McGettigan.
I've heard it on an old tape of Garva but was unable to find the lyrics to it.

Can anyone help, please?

Kind regards

This is what I have on file Sabine. It's a really lovely song, but not all that easy to sing and bring off I find.....
The third verse was written by Dave Fletcher (of the duo Whaley and Fletcher). Sorry I can't help with chords tho'.

Best regards,

(Dan Seals/R. Vanhoy, addtl. wds. Charlie McGettigan; third verse by Dave Fletcher)

Sleep, lay me down,
Hold me closely in your arms and I will close my eyes;
Please promise me
That when I wake up from my dreams you'll be there by my side.

Love, if you say you won't slip away,
Then I can go dreaming of forever more,
But I won't rest until I know that you'll be here
In the morning by my side.))

Here in my reach
(Now) I can feel the one that I have waited for so long;
And deep in my heart
I know the arms that hold me now will hold me from now on.

My life would be as empty as a life could be
If you should leave me here;
So let me drift away and slumber on till break of day
And waken without fear.

I dread the dawn when I awake and find you gone –
Please tell me you will stay;
Then sleep will come,
I'll know my love has found a home in your arms all my days.

that will help a lot. Think I will find the chords ....somehow...somewhen :o)))

Really a pity that the group doesn't exist anymore. I am still looking for John's address but fortunately have found Tony's.

Kind regards
