Nice try, but often guests are searching for songs. They can only do this by starting a thread, if they can't find it in the DT. (whether they understandour protocols or not).
They are then unable to search through a thread and PM someone who appears knowledgable, (No PM facility)
So this "Club" which I have found extremely useful, and to which I try and give something back, becomes a somewhat closed community.
I can see the point, but I can't agree with it.
Nothing personal, Guest postings do need regulating, but it is hard to see how.

Seems quite simple to me.:

A guest cannot start a thread.

They can respond to an established thread, but cannot originate one.
