Subject: Etta Baker plus bird song From: jeepman (inactive) Date: 15 Mar 01 - 07:41 PM I have a tape of a tape of a cd of Etta Baker playing the Carolina Breakdown.. At about the 25 second mark, a bird, (sounds like a Carolina Wren) sings in the background. It comes and goes for at least 90 seconds. This is really neat and I wonder if any Catters have heard this. The song was recorded in 1995. The packaging makes much of this bird - there is a picture of a finch on the cd and inside the jewel case. Wendy |

Subject: RE: BS: Etta Baker plus bird song From: Dani Date: 16 Mar 01 - 08:53 AM I'm missing her playing nearby this weekend. Have y'all seen her PERFORM? She's older than my grandmother, but she's HOT. It's a treat you should not miss. Get up close so you can watch her feet when she dances WHILE she plays that guitar. Dani |
