I find that the obvious is often the most shocking. This POV of mine has led me to the subject of our Feeding Universe. Of course the obvious is often 'wromg' however there are shared mathmatical algorithms between 2D slime mold feeding patterns and the mega structure of the entire 4D universe.
The mega structure of the universe is like a fiberous sponge that obeys the math law of how to cover the maximum area with the least amount of material the same as the pattern slime molds obey in order to feed effectively.

This is like an ultimate monster sci fi plot.
The predator is invisible and we are the prey it feeds upon.
The shape is not the main issue, the issue is that slime mold is alive.
The thing is scientists have proven the exact similarity of a slime mold feeding pattern and the pattern of dark matter grouping of galaxies. Some say the universe is alive. Now we are seeing it seems to feed upon itself.

I think this plot has legs and could go someplace.

That's Hamilton Camp - he went on to a long and varied career as a character actor. I'd forgotten that he was a singer also.

I've heard chatter about a Peloton treadmill but didn't go looking for it. There are so many short alarming videos out there these days. That 12-second video of cops breaking up a knife fight among young women and killing the knife-wielder has been the most recent of that sort. Horrible outcome. The toddler is lucky he was able to get away alive.

I was able to get my trash out to the truck even though I missed curbside pickup this morning—they paused two doors up as the driver was chatting with my across-the-street neighbor. I carried my bag out and handed it over. Now that's good BS, when the Waste Management guys have time to talk to an elderly woman.

Humans have long practiced human sacrifice, only the motivations have changed. How many other species do this I don't know. Today the state provides a license to kill provisionally. Split second murder decisions do not even allow for the forebrain to have a conscious say. But a murder that takes over nine minutes in front of a nine year old is more than most civilized people can accept as justified. Such deliberate action with forethought is a definition of murder. *So is war* but the state can declare such murder to be legal.
Law has made allowances for self defense. Some of you have experienced having to choose to use lethal force in self defense or not. Lets hope you chose correctly.
The subject of murder defines a culture imo.
In the US for example, lynching is not a federal crime.
Murder is both a state and personal decision. I hope we choose wisely.

Muon detecting plates are a grand each and it takes 30 day exposures but the app to render the plates are available in the google store. They are cool when you put them in abandoned gold mines and see all the gold the old timers missed. The image is from cosmic rays that go way deep.

I can't disclose the physics of the OS (NDA when purchased) but I can say that sometimes it has been entering what I want it to do before I input it via keyboard or anything else. Earlier today it did my Analytic Geometry homework from high school -- correctly.

Its the best until next Tuesday when it becomes obsolete compared to the Honeywell ion trap (holes) quantum computer. All it needs is to add a special insulation to miniize noise. When that happens it will win the race imo.
Of course IBM will make a overpriced monster and Google will have the best marketing but I have Honeywell hopes with Google overtones.

If you believe ol uncle Einstein, then the notion of a singularity is impossible and against all known laws. On the other hand a bridge, wormhole or vortex to another part of a universe is allowed inside a black hole. How the heck could we ever check? It has been thought its a one way trip. IT is BUT Here's how to check...If there is a BH somewhere in the universe where two stars orbit a black hole on each side of a black hole just outside the accretion disk, we could look for the gravity of the star behind the black hole...if it is not there, it was swallowed up by a gravity 'shadow' going down a drain . If the gravity is accounted for via lensing, ol Al is RIGHT AGAIN.

Your trip inside a black hole wormhole would be a wild ride of acceleration for awhile but gravity would not approach infinite and would actually slow down toward an emergence some place else. Your space craft would preferably be non magnetic inside a warp bubble to free you from inertial forces and radiation. Sorry, you will have no navigation in this macro quantum event.

Finding the ideal black hole off ramp from this universe is unlikely, making the ideal spacecraft is unlikely and getting to the off ramp is currently too far. But hey for sci-fi writers its instant gratification. Beyond the journey, could be the ultimate Gulliver's Travels.
