Danny Spooner sings a Don Henderson song called Thirty Ton Line which is about a tug very badly damaged through lack of adequate hands.

The Danny Spooner CD is called Emerging Tradition. It seems to have been released on Danny's own label, with catalog number DS008. The album was released in 2007. Danny passed away 3 March 2017. It looks like his website, https://www.dannyspooner.com is still being maintained.

I'm afraid I don't know how/where to look up Australian copyright information.

There's an address for Don's widow Sally Henderson on this page (click)

If that doesn't work, you might ask Danny Spooner's widow at this page (click). Since Danny recorded the song, there's a chance she'll know.

I've recently been in contact with Sally. I initially contacted her thru an email to Mark Gregory.

mg, if you want her email address I can supply it, but I can't log in at the moment (mudcat is telling me I'm not a member!) & will be contacting Joe to sort things out

Thanks. I appreciate the help. Would love Sally's address...Joe has been quite helpful on this. I love these non-USA songs, and they add so much perspective, but I would gladly turn over copyright searches to anyone. And I won't use Canadian songs at all unless I know author or it is proven by folklorists to be trad. Too much risk.

I emailed Joe about my login problems, if he can't help & it's at my end, I'll send him her address.
