Today's hero: Rep. Steve Isreal.

He is resigning from Congress to pursue satire full time and condemns the legal bribe system of CONGRESS in his exit comments.
He has one satire book out already.

My inane personal pet cause is to persuade people to stop hating hurting and killing each other by remedy of satire and image.

Satire can easily backfire but the image has staying power. Also people look kind of silly protesting a picture like some kind of third century iconoclast.

The Weird Sisters in Macbeth were those predicting the characters' fates or destinies -- their 'weirds'.

So to assert my claims

Triple, triple
Bare your nipple
Pour your gin
And have a tipple

Lo - I'm coming in to bat
Weirdest poster on the Cat

This thread has been a great thread given the banter posted. It is a fun thread.

But, on a more serious note, I believe past posts are of merit regarding subdivisions of "weird". To wit, I submit:

Nastiest ignorant abusive piece of human garbage troll catergory (is easy... Gold, Silver and Bronze are matter-of-fact if you are long-time member).

Plain fuckin stunnedasmearses' that post inane shit about their pet causes is another obvious category.

So, perhaps we need to define weirdo categories, pick he top weirdo in the categories and THEN pick the winner? I mean, if that's not too weird. ?

One example of weirdness is resurrecting 5 year old threads with creatively oblique referential nuances, displaying ostentatious obsessions with imaginary sub-human anthropoidal entities.

Today Chongo The Chimp is a multi Billionaire with dozens of corporations in the communications sphere such as ELECTION monkey polls and CHIMP MESSENGER ETC.

First they laughed, Now they are clamoring for access.

If only he remembered his humble beginnings and connected with those who gave him a start. But he has become reclusive, weird and paranoid of his handlers.

I am thankful that Mudcat is weird. It's an alternative to the craziness you find on TV or in most newspapers these days which is not weird but destructive.

Weird is good. Most great artists have emerged as being weird. Great controversial ideas have been branded weird like Civil Rights, Woman's Suffrage, Abolition, Union bargaining,
stopping child labor..............

Let's all celebrate the "weird" and be thankful that people on Mudcat are not normal otherwise they wouldn't be here.

I think if someone calls you "weird" it should be accepted as a compliment.

Nearly enough to form a Chongo Chimp Pressure Group to promote the compulsory supply of bananas at all public meetings.

Or would that be too weird?

Chongo Chimp, with no question. Why he continues to put up with this place is more than I can understand. Such tolerance and broad-mindedness should be rewarded, and I expect it will be when he is elected president in 2012.

I was at a blues session last week that wasn't full. The promoter thanked us for coming and said we were doing better than other venues sponsored by the brewery but next time "bring your friends". I felt like saying:"If we had friends we wouldn't be here." Thanks to the Mudcat, in the words of Tony Hancock in The Radio Ham I've got (slightly odd) "friends all over the world: none in this country but all over the world"

All of us on Mudcat are a collection of wingnuts. Therefore it must follow that the parameters for "weird" on this site must be much different from the outside world. Surely here the benchmark for "weird" here must be the exact opposite to the dictionary meaning. I have always found Joe Offer to be calm, cool, and collected so I bring forth his name in nomination.

I don't think anyone is weird on Mudcat.

I used to think Keith was well weird - you know, the way he argues with people who fundamentally disagree with him - when anyone normal would say, allright mate if that's what you think......fair enough.

But then he said in one of his threads that he enjoyed arguing - a bit like the man in the monty Python sketch who had paid for the ten minute argument. The it sort of made sense. Not weird at all - he's just prolonging the pleasure til orgasm, or something similar.

No. But the hamburger was part of it. A BBQd burger was actually eaten off the paper plate that was first thrown in "Frisbee style", giving Walter Fredrick "Fred" Morrison the idea. The fact is that the burger was so thick that it slipped out of his hands and landed on the lawn. He swore terribly and he was taken to task by the hostess of the BBQ. Still angry, he grabbed the plate and flung it at her and VOILA... the Frisbee was born.

Oh... I know the "offical" story is about cake pans. But, back then, they had to prissy up the story in order to market it. I mean, they would not have been able to sell it under Walter's original name choice, the "FUCKMEE".

The 'weird quotes' offered on Saturday (see above) reminded me of something Captain Beefheart once said:

"There are only forty people in the world, and five of them are hamburgers."

That kind of tells it like it is, I think.

RapperTom - I've been more-or-less excommunicated from daily ditties on the "WalkaboutsVerse Anew" thread (use my myspace blog, if you like), but here's one anon for you, and all...

Little birdie flying high
Dropped a message out of the sky;
"Ooh!" said the farmer, wiping his eye,
"It's a jolly good thing my cows don't fly."
