Thread Name: BS: Is Doonesbury going too far?
Subject: RE: BS: Is Doonesbury going too far?
I haven't added them up, but the OP's request, "If anyone takes up this discussion, please break with Mudcat tradition and discuss without bashing this or other beliefs.", was violated early (as I posted early on) and continues to be violated at a rate that is unacceptable. Why don't youse start your owns threads and... oh... what's the use? I am sure the OP's "long-time reader and occasional contributor." status has been trashed. So has my participation in any meaningful dialog in line with the OP.

Jaysus, people! The VERY LEAST you could do is preface your posts with, maybe, "Thread drift..." before you go off on things that the OP asked you NOT to go off on? EH?

Yes, I am guilty at times (seldom) of not prefacing my off topic posts with "thread drift" but I have an excuse which is not simply being rude to the OP and subsequent readers and posters.

Please show SOME restraint or preface your posts as thread drift or whatever you think is appropriate or START YER OWN THREAD. Really... is it too much too ask? Decorum? Good manners? The Golden Rule?

Oh... yeah... right... good manners : yeah, I am VERY guilty at times for reasons I don't need to explain but I don't trash the OP by taking over his thread when speciffically asked not to do so (on purpose).
