I tried to reply last night, but Mudcat was down.
Do you want the gas for cooking, or for the van?
We once had a lot of petrol stations selling CNG (compressed natural gas) but it had low efficiency/power and they seem to have mostly gone. Usually, people use LPG (liquified petroleum gas) which is generally available for both vehicles and cooking.
These gasses are NOT interchangeable but I think it is not possible to mix them up as the filling arrangements are different. Check, though.
You can also swap-a-tank at many builders' merchants (Placemakers, Mitre 10, Bunnings and elsewhere.)
Ice is generally only available as cubes. Try the Bait Freezers at petrol stations. Sometimes it is sea-ice, so don't leave the drain open. Rust never sleeps.
The Delica is a good van, -I've got one myself,- and there are plenty of them about.
