For myself, I find it nice to take a cooked breast out of the freezer, warm it in microwave and cut it up for a salad or with the veggies du jour. The legs are for a quick snack for Rob. Some meats I prefer to be cooked totally at the time, and fish -on today's menu. I am going to make up about three pounds of turkey meatballs; hope they are as tasty as the bought ones. I will broil them before freezing so I can take out a few and throw them in with stir fried veggies.

I never know when or if Robin will be home for a lunch or supper. I try to have something substantial ready between 6 and...... So it has to keep OK - even though the veggies might get overcooked. No warning, he lives with it, with no complaints. Before 6, it is usually soup or chili. I eat when I need to; would get very hungry waiting for him, as I used to do! We are still talking a frig-top freezer here. So no really large amounts. The chicken was two cookie sheets full under the broiler. The turkey balls, another one. Time and energy efficient, I think.

Now I feel less badly about the time I spend on the computer but more concerned about finding the time to write those things which I WANT to get written. The Nature of Things is having a two part series on Raccoons. After I see those, I need to finish raccoon article and send it to the reporter, whom I also apprised of the TV programs. NOW, discernment from a Quaker viewpoint...
