It's been a long, busy day, but we are ready. I think the kids will be staying here; I hope they will be, though it might mean they won't be here for Christmas. We'll cross that bridge when we get there, eh?

I did the usual taxi service this AM, took Morgan to school first, then dropped off Rog, then my daughter. Came home for a quick break, then to see my girlfriend doc who spent an hour doing gentle osteo. manipulation while we caught up on each other's news. It was wonderful to see her. Then home, ate a quick lunch, met the O2 delivery guy, then finally paid the late house payment and a few other bills which could not be ignored. By that time, I had about an hour before picking Morgan up, so I put my feet up, turned on a Native American flute CD and fell asleep with a cat purring in my ear. Went to get Morgan, got a snack with him, called Rog and told him I was ready to get him, early. As it turned out, by the time we got there, it was just on time. From there, because my SIL had to work late, we took M to the store with us. Utter chaos! Not Morgan, but the store. Yuck, I'd rather got late at night or early morning. Anyway, we managed, but by the time we got home we were both ready for Morgan to go home. No dad, so he stayed for a while longer, helping to get the groceries brought in. His dad picked him up about 630a, which made it a very full 12 hour go, go, go day for me.

Have had supper and a shower and did another 1,000 plus on the novel. It's still a lot of fun and I am excited because I believe I will make it to 50,000 before midnight of the 30th.:-) I read the first, very rough draft chapter to a friend and she loved it. Said I made her laugh and hooked her with wanting to now more, right away. Must be on the right track as that's my goal!:-)

SRS, your kitchen sounds so lovely and it is important for the kids to be involved. I always loved helping.

Maryanne, great job!

Andrea, congrats!! Your place sounds so interesting. I love old houses and finding out more about them. Yours sounds awesome. You have good reason to be very proud of yourself, imo. After all you've been through, what you have done takes courage and you, like a few others around here, are my sheroes!

maevedarlin', you, too.;-)
