I had to do a major dish cleanup in the kitchen today, and after I emptied the dishpan in the left (deeper) side of the sink I saw that a crack that has been there since I can remember (I installed it in 2002) is now much longer. There is a swirling line that shows up because of a tea stain embedded in it. Soon I must replace this sink. I suspect that the crack occurred when it was first installed, I think a carpenter stepped in the sink when working on mounting a board for an overhead light. Though I thought I'd like porcelain, I've found this sink to be a problem in a number of ways. The high lip, the dribble around it. I'll look at stainless sinks and see if the handyman who works for my next door neighbor sometimes can come do this. (I found one I like at Home Depot - I'll file this in my folder for ongoing projects).

Starting Friday it is supposed to get a lot colder here. So I have a few outdoor chores to race through in the next couple of days. Maybe I can take Thursday off to finish some of it. I made a big push last weekend, but there is still more to do.
