I see what I was looking at - the new calendar for January is on the wall behind the current calendar, and it is larger. They're both partially blocked because I haven't relocated the calendar since moving a cabinet, so the TV is partly blocking it. Sunday is Halloween. And that makes payday one day earlier!!! ;-D

I voted today. I'm so very tired of all of the ads and the conversation that I'm simply not turning on the television or radio much. Good time to read a book and revisit my music collection.

Sinuses are registering a weather change; I think it should remain clear, but tonight there will be frost warnings in outlying areas. I brewed a small pot of jasmine tea this afternoon in one of the kitchen gadgets I inherited from Dad, one of those French press things for making coffee. It also works for tea. Soon it will be weather for hot baths and cooking soups and stews. Something to look forward to!

Found a tip on my garden guru's site today. He doesn't recommend using peat moss in the yard, but one good use he has identified is for storing root veggies. Especially if you don't have a root cellar in which to keep them. Dark and dry and in a tub of peat moss is the next best thing for around here, apparently. Works for garlic, and I hope it works for onions also, because that's what I find is hardest to store (I haven't grown potatoes yet an I don't do enough carrots to worry about storing them).
