I've just made a great discovery. I think the reason my veterinarians don't carry Revolution any more is because in Canada it isn't a prescription, it's OTC. And I can buy the amount I want for much less than my vets were charging. They want to sell the things that they have much larger markup on. I asked why one vet switched, and he just said there were "issues." Now I know what they were.

I'd been playing that stupid game of "if you buy it from us, if your dog gets heartworm and you've been using it right, we'll treat the dog." But I missed a couple of months, and my dog got sick, and it cost a lot on top of overpaying for the Rx to begin with. Trying to push expensive meds out a week extra each month to make it last a little longer but be within compliance is stupid. You end up missing times that way. So now, I'm going to just get the heart worm test for each dog, and make sure I put this more affordable but just as effective treatment on them every month.

I'd have paid $300 here for what is going to cost me $158 to buy from Canada.
