Thread Name: Lyr Req: Shemesh Sha-kae-ah
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Shemesh Sha-kae-ah
I found it. It's a Naomi Shemer song called Shabat (Sabbath). She was a brilliant song-writer. If I can find my Naomi Shemer book, I'll see if there aren't more verses.

מילים ולחן: נעמי שמר

שמש שקעה, שקעה מעבר ים
ימי החול חלפו, חלפו ואינם
וכוכבים שם במרום
יברכו: שבת שלום

Shemesh shaq'ah, shaq'ah me'ever yam
yemey hakhol khalfu, khalfu ve'einam
ve'kokhavim sham ba'merom
yevarkhu: shabat shalom.

The sun has set, set beyond the sea
the week days have passed, have passed and are gone
and the stars in the heavens
will bless: Shabat Shalom.
