There doesn't seem to be much of this stuff on-line, but here's a brief clip of a group of women singing a "waulking" song in the Isle of Lewis in Scotland (waulking is part of the process of making woollen fabric, involves pounding wet wool onto a table - someone correct m if I have the details wrong): http://www.mustrad.org.uk/sound/primit7.ra ...
