GUEST,Gern Can anyone suggest good Bluegrass Books? (7) RE: Can anyone suggest good Bluegrass Books? 31 Mar 03

I can recommend GRASS ROOTS: An ILLUSTRATED HISTORY OF BLUEGRASS AND MOUNTAIN MUSIC, since I wrote it. Great photos. But it is introductory and now over 20 years old. It's available at amazon, if anyone is interested. My follow-up, BREAKDOWN: BLUEGRASS MUSIC, THEN AND NOW, will be much better and up-to-date, and should be out in a couple of months. I'll inform this forum when it is available. For other books, I'd recommend BLUEGRASS by Bob Artis, if you can find it. Also TRAVELING THE HIGH WAY HOME.
