I signed a petition to HMG to ban the sale of fireworks to private individuals, and restrict the use of fireworks to properly-organised ‘official’ displays. The government’s response was that there’s no problem, everybody uses fireworks correctly and in a socially-responsible manner, so no change in the regulations is necessary. They were still going off near me at 1:25am today. Proud of your Eton-Boys, Bonzo?
