I think Noreen's singing of it must have been after I left the session, so I don't know whether she did something that John Tunney does in the recording linked above or (as best I recall without listening again) that Paddy did; to end the penultimate line with the preposition "near" or "from" and then take a breath before "The mountain streams ...". Wonderful singers as the Tunneys were/are, for me that particular feature does detract slightly from the enjoyment. I don't sing this song, but if I did I would delay that word to the beginning of the last line. What do others think?
