Apart from my very early attempts that were on Windows, using the software that came with my wee Panasonic camera, most of what I have done (same camera) was after I bought a Mac, and used iMovie that came installed with the computer. Not that tricky, and lots of options for titling and editing, and tutorials within the iMovie program.
But now realising how much mobile phones have progressed in the last few years: video quailty on the latest models is superb, and as Phil Cooper said, so easy now to just transfer something straight from phone to YouTube, as thousands of people have been ding over this lockdown period. My 10-year-old not-very-smart phone is just about to bite the dust, so new phone on order, and looking forward to increasing my YouTube channel with same!
