Charmion - 'pumpkin' in Ozziespeak is pretty much any vegetable (or are they actually fruit?) in the squash family with an orange flesh. Butternuts, to us, are pumpkin. So are Queensland Blue pumkins, green and yellow striped Japanese (Jap) pumpkins, you name it. I made some yummy roasted pumpkin soup last week using a Queensland Blue, but tinned will do to try the scone recipe.
