Gibb Sahib Lyr Req: Trump's Lysol (14) RE: Lyr Req: Trump's Lysol 30 Apr 20

Trump's comments were characteristically stupid, irresponsible, and laughable. He needs to just shut and shouldn't be talking at all.

But do people think he actually said something about Lysol or bleach? Do you think he was telling citizens to ingest or inject cleaning products? Thinking that is also laughable. And anyone who decided to do that is stupid.

The comment was some goofy ad lib about doctors possibly finding a way to inject something that would act as a "disinfectant." "Disinfectant" doesn't mean "Lysol," it means anything that kills an infection. Part of what makes it sound that so ridiculous is that, in that sense, a drug/medicine can be construed as a "disinfectant." Horrible use of language, though probably in a vain attempt to be colloquial and accessible, and even more likely just Trump's huge ego leading hime to think he needed to be saying something (though he knows nothing).

As I always say, there's already plenty to damn Trump without making up lies.

People need to actually read / listen to what people say before escalating the distrust on both sides when everyone sounds like a liar. Because if Democrats, who are supposed to be the hope to defeat Trump, are lying, you're again going to have people who love the truth distrusting both major parties and we saw how that turned out 4 years ago.

It MATTERS what the President says. And it also matters what the Speaker of the House says, what news reporters say, and what we say.
