There are Quincys in several states. They're all presumably named after John Quincy Adams. I guess whoever named them thought "Quincy" had more panache than "John" or "Adams". We even have a Quincy in Florida. I've been through there a few times, but have never been struck by a compelling desire to stop. It is not home to any bridges across the Mississippi River.
