Bat Goddess Las Vegas - Any Trad Sessions? (6) Las Vegas - Any Trad Sessions? 31 Jul 18

Glitzy Las Vegas, Nevada isn't the first place to come to mind when thinking of traditional folk music, either vocal or instrumental, but real people also live there...away from the bright lights of the hotels and casinos.

I have some older (gee, "mature" sounds better, doesn't it?) friends who live in Las Vegas most of the year. They're very interested in traditional folk music and the songs of the American Folk Revival and closely follow the music and musicians while they are here in Seacoast New Hampshire. They especially enjoy maritime folk music, especially the Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival, but there may not be much of that available in the desert.

I just did a bit of poking about at and found a lead to McMullan's Irish Pub which even seems to have a session every Sunday.

Also mentioned was The Backyard, but at their website I can't find and reference to music, just sports viewing.

Anybody have any suggestions?
