GUEST,Ralphie BS: BBC recording sessions & freebie tickets (5) RE: BS: BBC recording sessions & freebie tickets 05 Jun 13

After working at MV for many years on "Live" shows. I can concur that more tickets are printed than used. (More applicable for Radio 4 panel games ie, Just a minute et al, that are on every week) For a concert like this, only real fans would have even heard of the Carthys, and only death would keep them away! I#m assuming that it's Stufio 3? It's the normal studio for Live gigs (Did Bonnie Rait there once!) But numbers are strictly limited by Health Safety rules. 100 Max ? That's a bit of a guess, but not far off. It's a first come first served principle, So get there well early, and you should be OK...Take a big book with you! One of the funniest shows I did was Melt Banana (Japanese thrash metal band) for John Peel. In the much smaller studio 4. Normally only 25 audience were allowed.. Bloody hundreds of this little Japanese people got in! Security was tearing its hair out! They even set up a merch section by the coffee machine! Absolute mayhem! Very funny though! so, get there early, and you'll be fine, I'm sure!
