The stupid thing bout the whole Shen was the ticketing web site. (Google 'usabilityhell') During the Paralympics when folks heard about the excitement of wheelchair rugby loads of folks tried to get Day Pass tickets for this but the system wouldn't let them. Locog stated that they had released thousands of extra Day Passes - but then as far as I am concerned Locog were (still are) a bunch of lying w*nkers. And the extra tickets simply could not be obtained.

AND WHEN I WAS THERE EVERY ARENA WAS ONLY 2/3 FULL - especially the Basketball Areana where the wheelchair rugby was held. Indeed there were spare seats all over the place - as could be clearly seen in the t.v. broadcasts.

On another subject the ONLY beer available at the Olympic Park was the smallest of small plastic bottles of Dutch Heineken aka pi$$ for 4.30 - and people paid that price FGS. Indeed all food and drink outlets were charging more than DOUBLE the High Street prices and considerably more than supermarket prices. To its rare credit McDonalds kept its prices the same as its usual Central London outlets, although the quality was as bad as ever. But then it also had the monopoly on 'chips.'

Oly and Para souvenirs and t-shirts etc. were getting marked down by more than 70% - I wonder why no-one wanted to buy the stuffed Wenlocks? Maybe because a/ they were cr*p, and b/ they were over-priced ITFP. BTW all the clothes and souvenirs were made in China - where else?
