I found this thread looking for versions of the song but cannot forbear from correcting - politely - the last few statements. The two larger islands of what is often now, as a whole, known as the Atlantic Archipelago are Great Britain (which includes England, Wales and Scotland) and Ireland. The UK and Ireland will not do, because Northern Ireland, a part of the island of Ireland, is part of the UK. These are political as well as peographical facts, however much any of us may disapprove of them and hope that they may soon be changed.
