I bought a 301 in 1968 from a local music store here in the provinces of south Calif. I was a college student at the time. I paid about $45 for it, no small change for a student. It's still a nice guitar. It was last used by my elder daughter when she was in HS 10 years ago, and before my brother lent her his Gibson. She was a quick study and became quite good. She has her own axes, now, of course. Steve
