If we were all childless tax payers, subsidising each other then we'd pretty soon die out(Silly arguement that can be applied to non smokers/non drinkers paying taxes to keep the NHS looking after smokers or alcoholics or drug users and many other one sided ways of looking at things). My children are and will become the tax payers of the future that will keep US in our old age pensions, will form the next tier of employed skilled people. What are we going to do without them? No young doctors, nurses, teachers to follow on. I have paid more tax than the childless if it comes to the nitty gritty. I have bought more luxury goods than just for myself and Mrs V. More clothes (Child VAT free..I know but they grow) Invested in their activities which all attract tax and employ people, bought a bigger car (more tax) payed more for holidays, fuel, the list become endless and stupid.
