OK, from the original list:

8. Name a Mudcatter whose name is very much like the name of a group of chemically and physically related aluminum silicate minerals, common in igneous and metamorphic rocks

Now, for the life of me, I cannot ever remember a member with a name anything like Andalusite, or Kyanite. The mineral Sillimanite on the other hand has far too broad a scope.(These three minerals all have the composition Al2SiO5.)

However, spreading the aim somewhat into the realms of the aluminosilicates, yields the MICA group of phyllosilicates; Muscovite, Biotite, and less well-known members such as Phlogopite and Glauconite.

The Micas are distinguished by a tendency to split into thin, elastic plates, and by their splendent, pearly, somewhat metallic lustre.
