GUEST,Dale Lyr Req: songs by Mary Chapin Carpenter (20) RE: Mary Chapin Carpenter Lyrics 08 Sep 06

Well, I am jumping up and down (figuratively speaking) to see that MCC has some true fans here. They ran a piece on her on CBS Sunday Morning a few months ago. I watched it a couple of times, then copied it to a DVD after some movie, but I have no idea which one. Someday it'll resurface and I'll gladly watch it again.

And yes, I bought her very first Columbia album well before she was a household name in music. I had noticed that she had written John Wilkes Booth for Tony Rice on his Native American album. That was enough for me. Buying that album unheard was an easy choice, though I do regret having bought it on cassette rather than LP.

Don't try to catagorize her.   She doesn't.   It's just great music whether it be country, folk, pop or you-name-it.

There, another post from a true believer.
